NUTRITION BASICS
Getting to grips with nutrition.
First things first we have to introduce the nutrition model we're going to be using, in our case the Nutrition Diamond and make sure we have a solid foundation in place before we worry about anything else.
We should ensure that we've got a good foundation in place prior to moving further up the diamond.
Spend some time developing the habits mentioned in the video before worrying about anything else. I'd recommend between 2-4 weeks building really solid habits relating to each aspect of the foundation. It doesn't have to be perfect (thats not what we're going for) it just has to show progress.
Building Upwards
Once you feel you've spent enough time building and developing your habits through the foundation, its now time to take a step upwards. This doesn't mean forgetting everything that we've put in place already. It means building on those habits and progressing further. Remember, we're aiming for progress, not perfection. If you don't feel as though you've mastered the foundations of the diamond, spend a little more time on these, it will pay off!

The foundations are exactly what they sound like; the place to start. The stronger and deeper the foundations that are in place, the higher, more stable and stronger everything above it becomes.
